Privacy Policy

IntelliSpot ("IntelliSpot," "we," "us") is a private, invitation-only fishing intelligence service operated by AOJO. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to intellispot.xyz and any IntelliSpot email or text messages.

Information we collect

Account information: your email address, the name you or an administrator add, the Teams you belong to, and sign-in timestamps.
Mobile phone number (if you choose to add one): used only to send sign-in codes and account messages you request by text, once text-message sign-in is offered.
Content you add: catch logs (species, size, bait, time, notes), saved queries, custom spots, and Team settings.
Location you choose to share: if you allow it, your device location is used in the browser to show you on the map, measure distance to spots and tag a catch. We store a location only when you save it with a catch or spot.
Technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, errors) kept for security and troubleshooting.

How we use information

To sign you in with one-time codes and keep your session secure.
To provide the service: scoring spots, showing your dashboard and Team views, and sharing catches with Teams you belong to.
To send service messages you ask for (sign-in codes, invitations, account notices).
To maintain security, prevent abuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages, your mobile number is used only to deliver the messages you requested (such as sign-in codes and account alerts). We do not share or sell mobile numbers, SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-message originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except with the messaging provider that delivers our messages on our behalf. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Terms.

Sharing

Your Teams: catches, saved queries and spots you share with a Team are visible to that Team's members and the IntelliSpot administrator.
Service providers that run IntelliSpot for us under confidentiality obligations: Vercel (hosting and data storage), Resend (email delivery), and, if text messaging is enabled, Twilio (SMS delivery). They may process data only to provide their service to us.
Legal reasons: if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of users or the public.

Public data sources

Conditions, forecasts and news come from public sources such as NOAA, the National Weather Service, Open-Meteo, Google News and Texas Parks and Wildlife. We do not send them your personal information; requests to them come from our servers.

Cookies

We use one essential, secure cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage for display preferences (such as Sun mode). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Retention

Account data and content are kept while your account is active. Sign-in codes expire after 10 minutes. Server logs are kept for a limited period. When an administrator removes your account, or you ask us to delete it, we delete your account record; catches you shared with a Team may remain unless you ask us to remove them.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and stored in private storage. Sign-in uses single-use, expiring codes, and sessions are signed. No method is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information, or opt out of messages, by emailing support@intellispot.xyz. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts.

Children

IntelliSpot is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the effective date above. Significant changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
